On the basis of ensuring national food security and effective supply of important agricultural products, Shandong Province has vigorously developed rural industries, extended the industrial chain of agriculture, expanded multiple functions of agriculture, tapped into rural multi-value, and promoted the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries in rural areas.

In recent years, Jinxiang County has made great efforts to promote the development of the agricultural whole industry chain, increasing the brand value of "Jinxiang Garlic" to 21.819 billion yuan. The County promoted "standardization" in agricultural production. The government encouraged farmers to participate in production and operation in the "small scale and large group" production mode and to standardize all links of garlic planting, management and harvesting. A national-level standardized production base for green food materials (garlic) covering an area of 300,000 mu (20,000 hectares) has been built.

In combination with local actual conditions, Shanting District of Zaozhuang City continuously expanded, optimized and strengthened leading characteristic and advantageous industries such as sweet potatoes, small grains, livestock, and poultry.
