On January 28, the first working day after the Spring Festival holiday, the RCEP Shandong Enterprise Service Center offered enthusiastic services to more than 400 foreign trade enterprises in Shandong who came for the RCEP certificate of origin.

As the level of trade and investment facilitation and liberalization among member countries is further improved after the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) entered into force officially, Shandong enterprises are increasingly willing to "go global". Wang Xiankun who is a general manager in charge of marketing at an enterprise exporting textile products to Japan in Shandong said that with the implementation of the new round of the RCEP tax reduction policy in 2023, the company is expected to achieve a sales increase of more than 30%, and he is very confident in the company's development prospects.

In 2022, Shandong issued more than 150,000 RCEP certificates of origin, ranking first in China; Shandong's import and export volume to other RCEP member countries reached 1.27 trillion yuan, an increase of 23.9% over 2021, 10.1 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate of Shandong's foreign trade. RCEP has become a major force driving the high-quality development of Shandong's foreign trade. Bi Haijun, Director of the Tariff Division of Qingdao Customs District P.R. China, said that Qingdao Customs will work alongside the commerce authority, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and other departments to empower foreign trade enterprises to seize the new opportunities presented by RCEP, improve the level of cross-border trade facilitation, and help Shandong stabilize foreign trade.
