Recently, the China-Japan Modern Agricultural Industry Matchmaking Fair of Weifang National Comprehensive Experimental Area for Agricultural Open Development under the theme of "Focusing on New Modes of China-Japan Cooperation and Exploring New Paths of Agricultural Upgrading" was successfully held.

The fair was hosted by the People's Government of Weifang City and the Chinese Consulate-General in Osaka and organized by the Promotion Office of the Weifang National Comprehensive Experimental Area for Agricultural Open Development, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Weifang Sub-council, the Weifang Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Foreign Affairs Office of Weifang Municipal People's Government, and the Weifang General Chamber of Commerce in Japan. It was held mainly online and also set up two venues offline in Weifang City, Shandong and Osaka, Japan.

At the fair, the cross-border service centralized procurement platform for food and agricultural products signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Japan's Daiichi Suisan Co., Ltd.; Shandong Lupai Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. and Japan's OMRON Corporation reached strategic cooperation on digital planting of ginger and other fields; Weifang Food Association and Japan-China Economic Relations and Trade Center reached an agreement on bilateral cooperation in trade, ready-to-cook food, and other fields; China-Japan-South Korea Modern Agricultural Industrial Park, International Food Processing Industrial Park and International Seed Industry R&D Cluster were promoted, and the advanced agricultural technologies, models and cooperation ideas of Japan were presented, laying a good foundation for future in-depth cooperation between Weifang City and Japan in the agricultural field.
